How can a sunset such as pictured below fail to call to mind the majesty of God? At this Monastery we are blessed with such reminders throughout the year, and how easy to take them for granted.
Perhaps the same occurs in regard to those who comprise our families or communities, those who are co-workers, fellow students or acquaintances. Whoever enters of life is somehow a gift from God, hard as that may be to believe at times!
The greatest commandment from Jesus is to love one another. By such, we show that we belong to Christ and that Christ is in us.
“That love is all there is is all we know of love,” wrote the American poet Emily Dickenson.
Let us ponder the words, but even more importantly, put them into practice throughout this new year 2022.
