Sunsets this month have been on the dramatic side, as today’s photo attests.

After some days of rain, we are enjoying the slightly greening once again of our pastures and cloister lawns. How long this will last before the first hard frost arrives remains to be seen, but it’s probably not too far off.

Afternoon temperatures here are still in the mid to high 70s, and in the 40s at dawn.

We are getting day visitors who are enjoying the beautiful change of leaves of the cottonwood trees, both driving into the Chama canyon wilderness and on our property.

God’s paint brush, in the sky and on the earth, is a constant delight to the attentive.

Blessed be the Name of the Lord.
