Our orchard is progressing well, with the planting of the trees now taking place. We have twelve fruit trees in all, three varieties of pear and six varieties of apple.

In addition to the trees, we have Russian comfrey, a companion plant to the trees, which adds nutrients to the soil and provides some amount of protection to the trees.

With expert local advice, we are learning the intricacies of creating a viable orchard, which is more than just digging holes and planting trees hither and yon! We look forward to a yield of apples and pears within the next couple of years.

The beauty of Autumn in this wonderful locale is especially striking this year.

We extend our warm regards and prayers.
