Ceiling of Lights

Christ in the Desert is the most remote monastery in the western hemisphere. Located in a beautiful desert valley far from major population centers it is a place of great peace. Here beavers swim, coyote play and hawks nest in the cliffs above, as gentle winds brings refreshing breezes. At night as the final rays of the sun fade in the west, the sky fills with the light of a million stars creating a ceiling above that makes even the Sistine Chapel look humble.
