With the threat of having to evacuate looming over us these past few weeks, as the Laguna Fire was and is burning in our area, one brother of a certain age quipped that he didn’t have a suitcase large enough to hold all his meds. Another brother responded with, “We can always rent a U-Haul trailer if need be.”
Fortunately, we haven’t had to rent a U-Haul or even evacuate, and the wildfire is moving toward extinction, thanks be to God and to the hundreds of firefighters working day and night.
Wildfires are always a risk in these parts, as is also true in many other parts of our country and world. Much needed rain is still being awaited. This is in fact our “monsoon season,” so hope springs eternal, and prayers continue, rain or shine.
We also keep all our families, friends, benefactors and neighbors in our prayers. Thank you for your prayers.
Today’s photo is of a very tiny but beautiful flower growing in one of our fields.
