As Autumn progresses, with leaves having changed and now fallen, we carry on toward an eventual Winter and whatever it may bring this year. We had good rainfall in August and September, and are praying more moisture will come this Winter, either as rain or snow.
Today’s photo is of an early morning view across the Chama River, looking toward the west.
This week we monks are having our annual community retreat, enjoying excellent conferences, twice daily, given by Sister Margaret Michael Gillis, F.S.P., one of the Formation Directors of the Daughters of Saint Paul, an international Order of Sisters specializing in Evangelization and book publishing.
Sister Sister Margaret Michael’s theme for the retreat is: “Be My Disciplines,” as Jesus taught. Yes, even monks need to be reminded of that fundamental call!
We are grateful for your prayers and  we keep you in our prayers.
