If you get a chance these days, drive to the Monastery! Abundant summer rains have provided a stunning sight of fields of yellow sunflowers all along Forest Service Road 151, leading to the Monastery.
Meteorologists are telling us that the drought in the great Southwest is far from over, so we continue to pray for rain and eventually for snow as winter approaches.
The Spring forest fires of New Mexico were tackled well by our rainy Summer, but remain an ever-present danger in this part of the world. Fortunately no fires were burning in our area this Spring or Summer.
We monks are staying well, thanks be to God, and our Guesthouse continues to welcome people from near and far, seeking quality time of reflection and prayer in this beautiful part of Northern New Mexico.
Be assured of our prayers and please keep us in yours. Thank you.
