The traditional date of the feast of “Nuestra Senora de la Soledad” (Our Lady of Solitude) is September 6th, just two days before the feast of the Nativity of Our Lady.
Our brothers at La Soledad monastery, near San Miguel de Allende, in the State of Guanajuato, Mexico, keep September 6th as their principal patron saint day.
This year on September 6th, our Brother Santiago of La Soledad, renewed his monastic profession of vows at the morning Conventual Mass.
Brother Santiago is responsible for the fine library at La Soledad and is also pursuing philosophy studies online, in preparation for eventually studying Theology.
Ad multos annos Frater Santiago! You are in our prayers as you continue your monastic journey in Mexico.
