What used to grow in our pond in the middle of our cloister are now flourishing outside of water, in our flower beds, also within our cloister garden.
This variety of hearty yellow mini-irises (probably not the technical term) are perfect for decorating our church, at the icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary. May she intercede for us all in these troubled times.
Our hearts and prayers go out to all who have lost loved ones in recent senseless violence in America. May the Angels lead the Faithful Departed into Paradise.
We are still in expectation of rain, to quell the forest fires and to nourish the earth. Saint Florian, patron of firefighters, intercede for all those working to end the fires. And send us rain, Lord.
