The many Cottonwood trees in the Chama Canyon Wilderness where we live are now at their peak as we move toward mid-October.

The drive to the Monastery from Highway 84, along Forest Service Road 151, is always noteworthy for its beauty, and especially so just now.

In these parts the predominant color of changing leaves is yellow, but there are also some red leaves mixed in, from other trees changing at this time.

We continue to welcome day visitors from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day. The Monastery church, Mediataion Garden, Desert Art Gallery and Giftshop are open. Welcome! Sunday Mass is at 9:15 am.

With our prayers and grateful for yours,

Abbot Christian Leisy and the monks
