After some blustery early spring days, including snowfall, the weather is clearing and warming up once again.
As Psalm 96(97) expresses it: “Light shines forth for the just and joy for the upright of heart.” Not that we presume to be just and upright, but we strive to be.
The images below are from our refectory mural behind the Abbot’s table. Saints Scholastica, Clare and Kateri Tekakwitha are shown processing to the House of the Lord, under the guidance of the sun.
The Prophet Isaiah wrote: “A people who walked in darkness have seen a great light” (Isaiah 9:2). Christ is our Light and we prepare to walk with him throughout Holy Week, the Sacred Triduum and Eastertide in the coming days and weeks.
May the Lord enlighten and enliven our hearts and our minds in our pilgrim journey to God’s House.
We are with you in thoughts and prayers during the holy season at hand. Please pray for us as well. Thank you.
