We are very happy to have eight new pews in the guest section of our monastery church. The pews were produced by the same company in Mexico, EVOS, in San Miguel de Allende, that made our choir stalls for the monks ten years ago.
The guest pews match well the design, color and wood of our choir stalls, and provide seating for approximately thirty-five. We rarely have those numbers of guests and visitors, but some Sundays and Solemnities, such as Holy Week, Easter and Christmas, find us in need of more seating.
We are grateful to those who contributed to the realization of the pews, as we continue to celebrate our 60th Anniversary of founding of the Monastery of Christ in the Desert in 1964.
